Today, the “first fix” electrics downstairs have been completed!
So, tomorrow, we fire up Sputnik. This will be a heart-in-mouth moment, because Ol’ Sputnik was an Ebay purchase and is, as such, rather without a guarantee of any sort.
I admit – I’m worried. If this goes wrong, we will have wasted £1200 on an ugly old useless tank which we’ll then have to dispose of. But if it goes right… we’ll have hot water!
Oh my! Such heady heights I cannot even dare to dream of.
I will, of course, keep you all posted – just in case you have a quiet weekend ahead and the state of the Seymours’ virgin plumbing is of interest in the absence of anything more exciting. But trust me, to us, this Sputnik launch is MASSIVE, and could make the difference between two winters in The Shed and – oh good God -three.
