This week, I have viewed an eighteenth century cottage with no boiler, a bungalow-cum-tortoise zoo and an old Victorian cottage with village hall attached complete with a very healthy specimen of a certain notifiable plant species growing happily within the grounds.
We shall not be buying any of those.
Meanwhile, we pack and stow and get rid, undergoing a life-laundry as we inch ever closer to D-Day (completion). It is scary, I admit. I wake up at night, secure in my bed, then realise that soon, I will not have a bed…
I worry that the children will be disrupted. I worry about where the guinea pigs will go…
Yet still, in spite of it all, this move feels right somehow. We are on the cusp of something very exciting. We just don’t know what yet.
We are leaping head first into the unknown, and it’s only thanks to family and friends that we are able to do this.
I remain clueless as to where we are sailing, but I am heeding the advice of a friend who says: go with it, go towards what attracts you. Let it happen. Don’t fight it… Trust the process.
I am trying!
In the meantime, I am updating here and on that newfangled platform that is Instagram. Sometimes, videos are just easier. So, if you feel so inclined, please do follow us.

Merci beaucoup, and wish us luck! xx
