The Poor Little Bungalow

Planning Permission achieved, our funny bungalow is now at the “looking worse before it looks better” stage. I think it will be in this phase for quite a long while.
Where once we had a double-glazed, very useful porch area, we now have half a breeze block wall. Surrounding a pit. It’s not pretty. But it is progress!
I have had to leave Post It notes out for the postman (“Barry”), indicating that the ancient letterbox does now work, after I hit it with a hammer to unseal the vintage glue that was holding it shut. It was the only one left to use since the outer front door had been decommissioned. But as of Sunday, the breeze block barrier now prevents even that letter box being used, and so my current note reads “Please chuck post in pit!”. Classy!
